Diddy Tops Forbes Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artists List. Diddy continues his reign on top of Forbes Magazine’s list of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists in 2013.  This list shouldn’t be confused with the annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings List, which ranks the earned income for one calendar year.  Instead the Wealthiest Hip-Hop artist list only ranks total net worth, a list Diddy has dominated since Forbes writer, Zach  O’Malley Greenburg, started the list back in 2011.  In 2011, Sean Combs had a slim $25 million dollar lead on his counterpart, Jay-Z, but thanks to his investments in Ciroc, he now tops runner-up Shawn Carter by a cool $105 million.

Ciroc continues to be a huge investment for Diddy as he continues to profit off new flavors and off the brands growing popularity.  Diddy has seen his accounts grow by an estimated $30 million in the last year.  That’s still not enough to outpace Dr. Dre who continues to sneak up the list with another $80 million intake since last year thanks to his Dre Beats.  Andre (Dre) Young hold’s the third spot with $350 million, when just last year he was at $270 million. So, for another year Diddy Tops Forbes Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artists List.

The race to $1 Billion continues.

The full top 5 list is below:

  1. Diddy – $580 million
  2. Jay-Z – $475 million
  3. Dr. Dre – $350 million
  4. Birdman – $150 million
  5. 50 Cent – $125 million

Look out for Lil’ Wayne to surpass 50 Cent on this list by 2014.
