John Legend Darkness And Light Album Hits Stores December 2nd
The forthcoming John Legend Darkness and Light album now has a release date AND a tracklist. Ten time Grammy Award winner, John Legend is set to release his fifth album, and the highly anticipated follow-up to 2013’s Love In The Future.
Darkness and Light is produced by Blake Mills, the 30 year old producer who has worked with Fiona Apple and Alabama Shakes. The lead single, “Love Me Now”, which was released a few weeks ago, was also co-written by Mills.
According to Mills, Darkness and Light is John Legend’s manifesto. The album “digs into John‘s long-standing devotion to social justice, the challenges and rewards of a marriage constantly in the public eye and the recent birth of his first child, Luna. This record goes against the grain, boldly reminding us that though darkness is abound, it is the light that will ultimately push us forward.”
