Mali Music’s Second Studio Album The Transition of Mali Out Now
After the success of his 2014 album Mali Is…, which scored Mali his first Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album, Mali Music is finally here with the release of his 2nd studio album The Transition of Mali. To support the album’s build up, Mali had released three singles in “Gonna Be Alright”, “Still”, and “Loved By You”, which features Jazmine Sullivan.
Mali described the scope of the album to Billboard by saying “Everybody’s doing music, but if you want to do music for real, it has to be something special. And I think that every single song on this album is that.” So from the sound of things, we are to expect a deeply personal album coming from Mali here and I tend to agree with his sentiment. Judging by the name of the album, we can also expect a potential departure from his standard R&B sound or perhaps an expansion of it.
