There will never be peace between Megan Thee Stallion and the men in the entertainment industry it seems. Just a couple weeks after another round of her public drama with Tory Lanez, Meg is knee deep in another social media back and forth with her label, 1501 Certified and it’s owner, Carl Crawford. On Monday, once again we got to see Carl Crawford and Megan Thee Stallion argue, first through lawyers in court, and then all over social media.
Meg has long been trying to get off Crawford’s label, for which she is contractually obligated to give 3 albums to. Megan has admitted that she did not read her initial contract and she says that the label and it’s owner took advantage of her.
Back in February Megan sued 1501 claiming that her 2021 release, Something For The Hotties was an album and it needs to be counted towards her obligation. Meg’s legal team asserted that part of her contract says that albums must be at least 45 minutes long and Hotties satisfied that stipulation.
In the latest development, 1501 is countersuing, asking a judge to declare the project as not an actual album release that counts towards her contract. They say that Hotties only featured 29 minutes of new music, and the project was actually a compilation of older material. TMZ was first to report the countersuit.
For those that don’t know, Carl Crawford played several seasons in the MLB, playing for the LA Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays among other teams.

Megan explained midway that she felt like she needed to air this out publicly because she is tired of being bullied and being made out to be the “bad guy”. Then she continued taking personal shots at Carl.
