Every music lover has been wearing a large smile on their face for the past few days. Why not! One of the best platforms for online classes, MasterClass, just unveiled the Mariah Carey MasterClass, where the legend teaches the voice as an instrument. The implication is that subscribers will have the opportunity to come into her Butterfly Lounge for the first time.
In the Butterfly Lounge, they will not just come to only admire the aesthetics of Mariah Carey, but they will be able to learn how to sing, write, and produce melodies, lyrics, and instrumentation that can blend genres and break barriers.
More goodies await these subscribers; they will also get to meet music legend Brandy! Yes, Brandy will be creating the reimagined version of “The Roof,” with help of Carey on the vocal background. The subscribers will also be the first to see this from a live standpoint.
Mariah Carey is a Grammy Award-winning singer whose songs have had some of the biggest influences on people. Who other than Mariah Carey to teach the voice as an instrument.
“Mariah is simply a genius. She’s one of the greatest artists of all time. In her class, Mariah is opening up her studio for the first time, teaching members how to use their voice throughout the music-making process, including in the studio and while navigating the industry,” described David Rogier, founder and CEO of MasterClass.
Like all of us, Mariah Carey is also excited about this class as seen below in her tweet.
For the first time, I am letting cameras in to witness my creative process. Now on MasterClass, I’m inviting you to ‘The Butterfly Lounge’, my musical sanctuary where I write new songs, re-imagine classics, and collaborate with artists of different genres. https://t.co/VBbGObO5q1 pic.twitter.com/KNjRWcUKqs
