If you’re a celebrity, it usually means you’re rich, right? And not only are you rich, but you also have time to enjoy the things you find fun. It’s often the case that a lot of celebs have a passion for sport, and because they have cash to burn, they will often place bets on the sporting action. But which celebrities are we talking about?

Michael Jordan

As far as celebrities go, and celebrities with a sporting background, they don’t come

much bigger than Michael Jordan. Jordan is undoubtedly one of the best basketball players ever to live, but he’s also a sporting icon. As you will expect, Jordan has raked in the money over the years, and he’s used much of his wealth in the business world. However, the Chicago Bulls legend has always had a penchant for gambling, both at casinos and on sport. And, where the latter is concerned, more specifically golf, but it’s likely, because of his profile, he places his bets at online sportsbooks or other discreet and secure gambling sites.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen isn’t renowned for simply being one of the most famous TV show actors around; he’s also well-known for getting paid a hell of a lot of money too. All this came to the fore during his time in Two And A Half Men, but then a lot of things about Sheen’s life away from the acting scene came to be known too. An element that got a mention was his love for placing bets on sports, with his ex-wife suggesting that he could spend in the region of $200,000 a week. And that he often won too.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The next inclusion on this list is a sporting great who has become a celebrity. And that’s Floyd Mayweather Jr. What’s interesting about Mayweather is that his nickname is Money, and he certainly spends the money when placing bets on multiple sports. He also goes a step further by regularly uploading pictures of his betting receipts. Mayweather’s approach to sports betting is to place massive wagers, often in the tens of thousands of dollars, in order to win big. And he’s won big many times, scooping prizes in excess of $500,000.

50 Cent

We had to include 50 Cent on this list because of his friendship, or should that be former friendship, with Floyd Mayweather Jr. The reason being that they used to hit sporting events together, such as the NBA, and place eye-watering amounts of money on the action. Fiddy has spoken in the past about wagering around $500,000 on an NFL game, which shows you that he means business on the sports betting front. Like Mayweather Jr., 50 Cent is not averse to showing those who follow him on social media his betting slips either. It’d be interesting to see out of Mayweather Jr. and 50 Cent who has won the most over the years.
