Wait, listen-only concert tickets? That’s right — Beyonce is charging her followers to listen to her Renaissance globe tour, but not to watch it.

The pop artist is currently offering “listening only” tickets as a result of the success of her Renaissance tour.

A seat behind the stage with no view of Beyonce’s performance—which is renowned for its elaborate props, costumes, and dancing moves—can be purchased by fans for $157.

The former Destiny’s Child icon has been traveling the world since May in support of her seventh studio album on her 56-date Renaissance world tour. But it wasn’t until her appearance in New Jersey on the U.S. portion of the tour that fans had the choice to purchase the limited-view tickets, which are typically offered to the visually impaired or blind at a discounted rate.

Fans are condemning the songstress for being “detached” from reality after being shocked by the high cost of the tickets, which provide little more than the opportunity to listen to the artist at home.

Beyonce Roasted For ‘Listen Only’ Concert Tickets

“Beyoncé selling $200 tickets for a LISTENING ONLY experience is hysterical. This lady is detached from reality,” one fan posted on X (known formerly as Twitter).

“@Beyonce is in concert 20 min away at @MetLifeStadium. It’s my birthday weekend. Lowest priced tickets are ~$350 for no view, listening-only seats. I would love to see her in concert but no way I can afford to shell out $700 and not even see [her],” wrote another. x

One peeved fan said to The Sun, “The whole point of going to the concert is seeing her in person and watching the spectacle of the production. It’s ridiculous! If I only wanted to hear the concert, I’d stand outside in the car park.”

Tickets for listening-only events cost a small fraction of regular tickets. Months after Beyonce fans in the United States grumbled that it is more affordable to book a plane ticket and attend the Renaissance concert in Europe than in their area, more low-cost listening-only tickets became available for her first solo tour in seven years.
