Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Krayzie Bone said he spent nine days in the hospital fighting for his life. He gave the update via his Instagram page with a concerning photo of himself next to his hospital bed.
“Just fought for life Literally for [nine] days straight. And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way fighting for me,” Krayzie Bone wrote on Tuesday.
He continued his message encouraging his followers and fans to never take life for granted.
“Never take life for granted enjoy it while have you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me I needed every last one of them -KB.”
The legendary rapper had originally been hopsitalized due to internal bleeding. TMZ reported that it all began when he started coughing up blood which lead him to being in the hospital and being put on a ventilator. After a few tests it was revealed that he has a “bleeding artery in one of his lungs” and doctors began to operate on him.
“Afterward, we’re told Krayzie was placed in an induced coma — with the idea being that would help the healing process,” TMZ said. However, sources told the outlet, the issue wasn’t resolved and that Krayzie needed a second surgery as the bleeding continued.
Allhiphop reported that the musician’s first hospitalization comes from a sarcoidosis diagnosis. Sarcoidosis causes inflammatory cells to form in different parts other parts of the body.
Fellow Bone Thugs member Bizzy Bone reportedly confirmed the news, leading big names in Hollywood to send out their prayers including LeBron James, DJ Paul, and Juicy J.
