Urban Therapy: Taking Life’s Questions and Giving Real Answers from the Heart, today’s topic: Good guys finish last?

Question: Is there truth to good guys finish last and girls liking bad boys?

Answer: In my opinion, NO. But I think it’s based on some truth. Setting aside the fact that every girl and guy is different, there are some trends. I think it is perceived that girls like “bad boys” because girls like guys that are confident, fearless and exciting. These qualities are often easier to see in a “bad boy” versus a good guy – but it doesn’t mean that good guys don’t share these qualities.

Now, we live in something called reality so what this does mean is that often good guys have to go the extra mile to be noticed and show that they have high self-esteem, can take risks and live life to the fullest. This does not mean that he has to compromise himself, his morals or his values and try to be someone he’s not.

Good guys are more responsible, make better choices and have enough confidence that they don’t need to be in the spotlight all the time. No good girl will pass up a good guy and a good girl can see a good guy a mile away. Hang in there. Good guys don’t always finish last.
