31-year-old rapper B.G (whose real name is Christopher Dorsey–B.G. stands for baby gangsta) was sentenced to 14 years in a federal prison for pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice.  B.G. who gained popularity as a member of the original Cash Money and 1/4 of the legendary group, The Hot Boys, becomes the 2nd member of the collective to have an extended stay in prison, following the footsteps of fellow Hot Boy, Turk, who was sentenced to 14 years from a 2005 conviction.

B.G. released this statement one day after being sentenced…
“I am relieved, I found out what my fate was yesterday because I was facing 30 years and my case kept getting pushed back. I am just ready to get my sentence started because it’s not RIP B.G, it’s FREE B.G… I feel happy and blessed that I will still be a young man and still be able to see daylight because I am someone, a dad, a brother, a son.”

Glad to hear he’s in good spirits.  We wish him the best.
