Take energy, multiply it by energy and you will get the Closer To My Dreams Tour experience at the Best Buy Theatre.  The Closer to My Dreams tour arrived in New York and the performers were off the chain. The headliner of the tour is YMCMB artist, Tyga while the opening acts were Jinsu, J Rand, LoveRance, Sterling Simms and Kirko Bangz. Each artist brought their own twist to the diverse crowd of Hip-Hop lovers. The energy in the place was already high and once the music dropped the crowd became more alive.  I was actually a bit surprised at the intensity that each performer came on the stage.

Kirko Bangz opened with “Play Me” and “What Yo Name Iz.” The crowd went into a word for word frenzy when the beat dropped on “Drank In My Cup,” the Houston rapper obviously knew how to get some crowd participation on the hit song.

Once Bangz set the mood for the crowd acts such as Jinsu, J Rand, Sterling Simms and LoveRance kept the mood growing and the crowd anticipating what Tyga had to bring to the stage.

Dim lights and emptied lungs from screams introduced the headliner who started off with “Bad B*tches” and a few cuts off his latest album Careless World: Rise of the Last King. The surprise of the night was Tyga bringing out the fully recovered rapper, Honey Cocaine, whose pint sized voice held big lyrics. To bring the show to a close, a line of ladies were escorted on stage for the closer song, “Lap Dance.”

All in all, the show was of amazing entertainment.
