Historic 12-12-12 Concert For Sandy Relief to Air Tonight

Tonight, nearly two billion people around the globe will have access to “12-12-12,” the concert for Sandy Relief, the biggest concert ever staged. This historic fundraising concert will take place live from New York City at Madison Square Garden and will air tonight, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 7:30p.m. (EST) sharp.

The lineup includes musical legends Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West and The Who.

Television feeds, radio and online streaming will be available to 114 million households across the United States and 400 mil TV households outside of the country. Network feeds are set up in North and South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. Additionally, the concert will simulcast live in select movie theaters in hurricane affected areas throughout the tri-state area. Clearview Cinemas, Bow Tie Cinemas, Frank Theatres, Marquee Cinemas, National Amusements and Rave Cinemas are participating in this unprecedented event. Free tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.

During the live “12-12-12” concert, viewers will have the opportunity to call in to donate to the Robin Hood Relief Fund to assist those affected by the storm. Musical artists and celebrity participants will take donations via telephone over the course of the evening. All proceeds will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund to aid victims of Hurricane Sandy, including every single penny from ticket purchases to the show.

Some high profile celebrities lending their star power to the telethon are Steve Buscemi, Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Sean Combs, Billy Crystal, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock, Kristen Stewart, Quentin Tarantino and the entire cast of The Sopranos just to name a few.

“12-12-12” is presented by Chase and produced by James Dolan, Executive Chairman of The Madison Square Garden Company, John Sykes, President of Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises and Harvey Weinstein, Co-Founder and Chairman of The Weinstein Company. “We are incredibly grateful to the numerous entertainers and celebrities who have graciously donated their time and talent to be a part of this unprecedented fundraising effort.
