Nelly is back with his first album in 8 years, his first M.O. in 2013.  The new Nelly Heartland album was released on Friday August 27th.

Nelly makes somewhat of a seamless transition into a Country album on this project, delivering songs with popular Country music artists and he sounds like he fits the profile with his normal St. Louis twang.  His only solo track is “5 Drinks Ago,” which still has a country swag to it, but its just Nelly riding the beat, similar to how he did on album cuts of Country Grammar.

Song 9 on the project, “Good Times Roll” is currently blocked in the U.S. for some reason, we’re assuming it has to do with a sample clearance.

The Nelly Heartland album features the platinum single “Lil Bit” featuring Florida Georgia Line.

Nelly’s latest single is “High Horse” featuring Breland and Blanco Brown.
