Would you ever get married at first sight? Well couples have been taking the leap of faith for 14 seasons now on the Lifetime Television series Married at First Sight. Every season the series features three to five couples, paired up by relationship experts, who agree to marry when they first meet. The experts include sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, pastor and marriage counselor Calvin Roberson, and sex therapist Dr. Viviana Coles. The experts interview individuals who say they are ready to be married and pair them with someone whom they believe will be compatible in marriage. Ahead of the upcoming finale, we make our Married at First Sight Decision Day predictions.

After meeting for the first time on their wedding day, the couples spend their wedding night in a hotel before leaving for their honeymoon. They spend the typical week in a luxurious location for their honeymoon along with the other married couples. Upon returning home, they live together as a married couple for the remainder of the eight weeks in an apartment provided by the show. At the end of the 8 weeks, they must choose to divorce or stay married, on what is called Decision Day, in which each person is asked for a yes or no, and why. If either person in the couple decides no, the couple must get a divorce.

Married At First Sight Season 14 began on January 5, 2022. The five matches were Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette, Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency, Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson, Lindsey Georgoulis and Mark Maher, and Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy.

Decision Day for these couples will be airing on May 11, 2022. Here are my Married At First Sight decision day predictions:

Alyssa and Chris: Alyssa and Chris are already divorced. Follow the link to see a Married at First Sight first!

Conclusion: Mark and Alyssa did show for the final get together of the couples. Mark said he is dating and doing well. Alyssa again expressed her dissatisfaction, but also said she is in a good place.

Jasmina and Michael: I think Jasmina and Michael will both say yes. Even though it seems they may not be all over each other, I think they’ve clicked off camera. I also think the talk with the advisor made Jasmina feel as though she should try harder.

Conclusion: Jasmina said YES. She wants to continue the marriage and get know Michael more than just a friend! Michael said YES. He is not ready to move away from the marriage. He thinks they would be further along without the cameras and added stresses.

Katina and Olajuwon: I think Katina will say yes, and Olajuwon will say no. I think Olajuwon will say no because he is afraid to leave his comfort zone and truly commit to a Black woman. Katina on the other hand sees Olajuwon’s potential and has fallen for him, and she thinks he’s fine!

Conclusion: Katina said YES. She feels like their marriage needs more time than the 8 weeks, and their differences are not deal breakers for her. Olajuwon said YES. He started off by saying when he came into the experiment he asked for an established woman, and Katina is not. He then thanked Katina for her effort, and said he would love to continue the marriage! Happy I was wrong on that one!

Lindsey and Mark: I think both Mark and Lindsey will say no. Lindsey has a little bit of growing up to do. She may have pushed Mark to an emotional space he can’t get out of when it comes to thinking of her. Mark has not given Lindsey the consistency she seems to need.

Conclusion: Mark said YES. He feels they have a good foundation of the things that are important to them and that they can move forward. Lindsey said YES. She said Mark was not everything she asked for, but he is everything she needs! Awww, now that’s sweet!

Noi and Steve: I think Noi and Steve will both say yes. Steve still has not secured Noi’s feelings about the bag, which is weird, but I think he’ll step up before Decision Day to help Noi feel a little more comfortable.

Conclusion: Steve said YES. He wants to continue the marriage and can’t see himself with anyone else. Noi said YES. She started out by saying she felt there were too many trust issues between them, and Steve does not trust her, but she would love to continue the marriage. She went on to say, Steve has opened her heart and she can be her true self with him and he loves and accepts her for who she is!

Ok, so I got 3 out of 6 predictions right, not too bad. How did ya’ll do? Part 1 of the Married at First Sight Season 14 Reunion will air Wednesday May 18, 2022 and looks to be better than last season’s reunion. Let us know in the comments how you feel about the decisions and what couples you think will still be married come reunion time. I also predict Lindsey and Mark will be the next couple added on the next season of Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam.
