Love is in the Air but That Doesn’t Mean You Have to Be Alone

Just because you may be single on Valentines Day doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have just as much fun as the next couple. Being single on Valentines Day, I would have to admit isn’t ideal for anyone but as long as you have a plan, then you can make it into something great.

Who knows you better than YOU? Exactly. Now, if you’re a person that doesn’t truly know what they like or what they would want to do then I will say that this might not be of any help to you and I guess your best bet is to crash someone else’s date, just kidding.

But if you are a person, who knows themselves pretty well then you have come to the right place. Here are a few steps to take or look for when wanting to step out this holiday season.

  1. Stop thinking that you are the only single person in this world. Find a spot that has an event for Valentines Day, something like a Single & Mingle.
  2. Take yourself out on a romantic date. Get cute! Wear something that is attractive because like I stated before, you aren’t the only single. You might just run into your perfect match.
  3. Book a Flight. I know, I know this might seem a little drastic and honestly it very well could be but also if you can’t find your person in this state than you might find them elsewhere.
  4. Do something that you have always wanted to do. Whether that is, axe throwing, pottery, paint & sip…just DO IT! Now is the time that you do what makes you happy.
  5. Go to the spa. Take a moment to just relax. There’s nothing like a nice massage that will get you back into great spirits.

We make it seem as though we have to wait for a partner to give us the Valentines Day of our dreams but in actuality we can give all of these things to ourselves. It might not be an ideal situation for most of us but at least we can say that we still showed up for ourselves.

Remember self-love is still LOVE.
