With 2024 in our rearview, we can all agree that some bangers were released over the year that was. From “Sticky” by Tyler the Creator to “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, the music industry just kept coming out with hit after hit. We also got new albums from 21 Savage, Gunna, Future, GloRilla and many more. So can’t help but wonder what new albums coming in 2025 will have the biggest impact. Dominique by Lil Baby

Atlanta bred, Dominique Armani Jones, also known as Lil Baby, has made multiple hits, one of his most popular being his song “Freestyle” earlier in his career. His more recent releases include “Touchdown” and “Insecurities” which both came out in late 2024.
Lil Baby declared in late 2024 that he would be dropping multiple albums in 2025. WHAM, which was already released, and Dominique are supposed to show two different sides of Lil Baby, WHAM being about money and fast cars and Dominique being more personal and vulnerable. Initially the albums were supposed to be released a week apart, but now Dominique will be released in February.
Balloonerism by Mac Miller

Malcolm James McCormick, better known as Mac Miller, is set to drop Balloonerism on January 17th. From Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, he was a popular musician in the 2010s. Some of his popular songs include “Self Care” and “Good News.” Though he is no longer with us, as September 7, 2024 made the six-year anniversary of his death, this is still an album you won’t want to miss.
Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weeknd

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, will drop his album on January 24th. The Weeknd has had many hits in the past including “Party Monster” in 2016 and “Blinding Lights” in 2020. His music is a multitude of genres including R&B, Pop, Electronic, and Hip-Hop. Considering his performance at the 2021 Super Bowl and his four Grammy Awards, this album will definitely be something to listen to.

Jermaine Lamarr Cole, professionally known as J. Cole, has also had many hits over the years including “She Knows” from 2013 which regained traction in more recent times, and “Middle Child” in 2019. According to HipHopDX, J. Cole has been hinting at this being his last album and the title may be hinting towards that. If that’s the case, this will definitely be an album that J. Cole fans won’t want to miss, despite the drama that surrounded his 2024 year.

His music is a mixture of R&B, Rap, and Hip-Hop, and some of his more popular songs include “The Box” from 2019, and “Down Below” from 2018. With him being multi-talented in singing, rapping, and songwriting, his newest album is sure to have some great hits. The Navy Album will follow his 2022 release Feed Tha Streets III.
Can’t Rush Greatness by Central Cee

British rapper Central Cee is set to release his album Can’t Rush Greatness on January 24th. He gained a lot of success in 2024 with his song “BAND4BAND” featuring Lil Baby getting over 378 million streams on Spotify. His song “Wave” with Asake that also came out last year was also a hit with 46 million streams and counting. Considering that he seems to be on a roll with his recent music, this next album is bound to have some more hits on it.
Deep Thoughts by Lil Durk

Durk Devontay Banks, also known as Lil Durk will release Deep Thoughts on January 31st. The rapper has had multiple successes including his album Remember My Name which made it to number 14 on the Billboard 200. More recently he released his songs “Old Days” and “Turn Up A Notch,” which both have millions of streams on YouTube. Deep Thoughts was supposed to be released earlier, but Lil Durk was arrested for Murder-For-Hire in Florida in late October. Despite the delay, the album is still well anticipated by fans.
Don’t Be Dumb by A$AP Rocky

Rakim Athelaston Mayers, professionally known as A$AP Rocky, is set to release Don’t Be Dumb in early 2025. He gained fame with his song “Peso” in 2011, but some of his more recent hits include, “HIGHJACK” featuring Jessica Pratt and “Tailor Swif” which were both dropped in 2024. The album has nine tracks including “HIGHJACK” and features multiple artists including J. Cole, Busta Rhymes, and more. With this album dropping, maybe he can convince his partner, Rihanna to focus a little less on her impeccable fashion and to maybe drop some music as well.

Some of his most popular songs include “SOUL SPEECH” and “1000 REASONS,” both from 2021. His music is mostly Hip-Hop, but also has some elements of R&B and Soul music. It’s been a while since he released an album, so this is one to look out for.

He also makes spoken word as a community activist including “Prince Charming” and “Say Amen.” With the “Bad And Boujee” co-producer heavily contributing to the 17 songs on the album, this will be an intriguing one to listen out for.
