Angel Reese has been having a hot year and now she’s giving back by launching a new foundation called the Angel C. Reese Foundation.

The Basketball star, popularly known as the Bayou Barbie,  told sports journalist Taylor Rooks at the annual Variety + Sportico Sports and Entertainment Summit her plans to pay it forward.

Angel Reese plans to use her foundation to provide girls with girls basketball camps, financial literacy programs, scholarships, holiday events, and ongoing community programming.

The Angel C. Reese Foundation will host its inaugural event titled “Back-to-School Giveback Block Party”. The event is scheduled to be held on August 19, 2023, at Saint Francis Academy in Baltimore, which is Reese’s very own Alma mater. This event will include the provision of school supplies, backpacks, clothing, food, and living essentials to children in need in the community

This is a commendable development considering the fact that Angel Reese has signed a handful of impressive deals with big brands. Some of these brands include Amazon, Xfinity, and Mielle Organics.

According to Essence “The Angel C. Reese Foundation will aim to foster equity for girls and underrepresented groups through innovative and impactful initiatives, develop practical solutions to overcome systemic challenges, and provide comprehensive resources that empower a new generation of girls to excel in sports and successfully transition to the real world,”
