Beyonce accused of stealing design by Hajime! Famous Sci-Fi Artist, Hajime Sorayama has it out for Beyonce and suggests that she may have stolen one of his popular designs for her single, My House, which is featured in the end credits of her Renaissance Tour concert film.

Yesterday, Monday 11th, the 76 years old Japanese artist, Hajime posted a few of Beyonce’s pictures in the robotic getup on his Instagram with the caption:

“Yo @beyonce You should have asked me ‘officially’ so that I could make much better work for you as like my man @theweeknd.”

He posted these pictures of Beyonce alongside pictures of his work insinuating that she did steal his design. Hajime also posted a couple of Renaissance merch t-shirt photos with the “plagiarized” design printed on them, further expanding his allegations that not only did Beyonce copy him but she also tried to make money from his art by having it on her merch.

Peoples Thoughts On The Accusation

While some fans had thought Beyonce’s look during the “Renaissance” tour might have been inspired by Hajime or even designed by him, which is apparently not the case, it still doesn’t quell their anger toward him for calling “Mother” out.

Another interesting angle some bey fans are taking under this post is that Hajime is just chasing clout because Beyonce wore a similar robotic getup in 2007…

“She’s wearing Thierry Mugler based off an archive Mugler look that referenced metropolis. Were you this incensed when she wore a similar headpiece in 2007 at the BET awards?” someone in the comments said.

Hajime had previously collaborated with The Weeknd to design a new cover for the 10th-anniversary reissue of his 2011 mixtape Echoes Of Silence. The cover which featured a silver android figure with its neck arched back.

The original work is however completely robotic in contrast to the one the artist posted yesterday which has a much more feminine look to it. Fans are contemplating that he might just be a little green over Bey not calling him for a collab.

For now, it is pretty unclear if this is a simple issue of calling out the similarity between the design or if Hajime intends to press charges… BeyHive’s surely hope not.
