This December, Kelly Younger and Reginald Hudlin’s brand-new Prime Video movie, Candy Cane Lane, will feature Eddie Murphy in the festive mood.

Murphy’s first holiday flick, Candy Cane Lane, which will start streaming on Friday, December 1, will see him reunited with producer Brian Grazer and Hudlin for the first time since their blockbuster movie Boomerang (1992). Murphy will bring his comedic skills to the project.

The holidays Kelly Younger spent as a child on El Segundo, California’s Candy Cane Lane served as inspiration for the picture.

Chris, played by Eddie Murphy, is a man determined to win his neighborhood’s yearly Christmas home decorating competition. When Chris accidentally strikes a bargain with a cunning elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to improve his chances of winning, she uses wizardry to bring the 12 Days of Christmas to life, causing chaos for Chris and the entire town.

His spouse Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), Chris, and his three children have to work quickly to escape Pepper’s influence, face up against magical foes, and keep Christmas for everyone.
