Nicki Minaj ain’t playing y’all! It’s either pink or PINK this Friday. Nicki Minaj has announced that she will not be appearing at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert series in Chicago and that Lil Wayne will be there in her stead. Nicki Minaj cancels Jingle Ball performance to focus on her forthcoming album.

While the news of the cancellation was sad because of the brazy anticipation for PINK FRIDAY 2, Nicki has placed a band-aid with the name Pink Friday on it, to soothe the fans’ pain.

The Rap Queen took to Twitter yesterday to announce the sad news. In a later edited post, where she removed the part that gives the option of a refund. She said,

“I have to tell you something. One last thing. Hope it doesn’t make you sad.” Uh Oh…

She continued “I won’t be able to perform tmrw in #Chicago for Jingle Ball. I was so excited to see you guys. Pls, accept my sincerest apologies. You can get a refund if you’d like.”

Yes please, they’d like.

“I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year. Details to come. HOWEVER!!!!!
My beloved brother/boss stepped up for me so that I wouldn’t have to push my album back. His name is Lil Wayne AKA the GOAT. He will perform tmrw @ the Chicago show. I am STILL performing @ the #Atlanta Jingle Ball on the 14th and now I’ll ALSO be performing at the #Miami Jingle Ball on the 16th. Album STILL dropping this FRIDAY. ?Thank you. Love you ?” she concluded.

No, thank YOU, Nicki!

Nicki has been trending on Twitter for weeks now and has been on No. 1 for the past few days, for none other than Pink Friday 2. Fans would have wept pink tears, should anything shake its release this week. So for that? Thank you, Nicki!
