On Friday, August 3rd, breakout songstress, H.E.R. released her new EP called I Used to Know Her, which she calls the prelude to her debut album. H.E.R. has created quite the fan base off relatable hits like “Focus” and “This Way”.

R&B fans hope that H.E.R. can continue her success with this new project because many fans feel that the reclusive singer is a superstar in the making. She continues to grow and create her own identity, which allows her to show fans who she is in her music.

H.E.R. has always talked about wanting to open up through her music because sometimes artists have a hard time expressing who they are and what they’re about. H.E.R. could be an influence for her young generation and she wants to help other women that may struggle with finding their voices.

H.E.R. recently turned 21 in late June and has already made an impression on her fellow artists like Pusha T, Tyrese, and others. We hope that she can be relevant for a long time and not be some flash in the pan, but what would keep her in the game is her being true to herself and never pretending to be someone else.

The I Used To Know Her Ep features Bryson Tiller, another relatively private artist.  The H.E.R. debut album should be coming soon from RCA.
