Rapper Tee Grizzley has shared a video on his Instagram page to address his Los Angeles home burglary that had $1 million in jewelry and cash stolen. According to earlier reports, the burglars accessed the house through a window they smashed.

Grizzley made reference to PnB Rock and King Von in the shared video of himself. He asked that people “send a prayer up for PnB Rock and his kids; King Von, his kids; and all the kids out (t)here that have to grow up without their pops.” When concluding his address in the video, the rapper also asked that people, especially musicians, watch what they speak into existence as “words are powerful.”

“I appreciate everybody reaching out. I’m good, my family good, thank God,” Grizzley said. “I need yall to do one thing for me, send a prayer up for PnB Rock and his kids. King Von, his kids, and all the kids out here have to grow up without their pops. I had to go through that. I grew up without my pops. He was killed, and it ain’t easy at all,”

The Detroit rapper continued, “We got to watch what we’re speaking into existence. I know we look at it like we’re just making music, and it’s art, but these words are powerful, bro. Just like we speak some good st into existence, we can speak some bad st into existence. So we really gotta be careful what we’re saying about ourselves when we’re making this music.”

Quite ironically, the break-in happens to coincide with the arrival of the rapper’s single, “Robbery.”
