With his brand-new original comedy special, Tracy Morgan: Taking it Too Far, which is scheduled to premiere on Max starting on Thursday, August 17, Tracy Morgan is bringing his stand-up to the next level.
In his first Max stand-up special, which was recorded live in Boston, Massachusetts in front of a crowd at the Wilbur Theater, the actor and comedian who has received two Emmy nominations for his work is leaving it all on the stage.
Tracy Morgan isn’t afraid to talk about subjects that are important to him, including dating in his forties and the unanticipated consequences associated with it, as the trailer hints.
In addition, Morgan’s efforts to stop gentrification in Brooklyn will be explored, as well as his problematic family.
However, Morgan’s most notable topic will be his 2014 vehicle accident, which left him with multiple fractured bones, a drastic brain injury, and a sizeable compensation from Walmart, which he mentions in the trailer.

“My Tinder profile is a Walmart truck dropping off a bag of money on my front lawn,” the iconic comic tells the audience who laughs heartily in return.
Morgan goes on to discuss Walmart further, “If y’all see me dancing in my draws in my kitchen on TikTok, all that Walmart money is gone.”
Morgan has been providing entertainment to audiences for three decades through his work in stand-up comedy, cinema, and television. His appearances as a series regular on Saturday Night Live and his Emmy-nominated performance as Tracy Jordan in the defunct NBC comedy 30 Rock with Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey are among his most illustrious credits.
The Max comedy special’s script was written by Tracy Morgan, who also serves as executive producer alongside Grammy and Emmy Award winner Rikki Hughes. Marcus Raboy is the director in the interim.
