The comic, actor, and TV host Wayne Brady has teamed up with Hulu for a new family-based reality series, in which he’s revealing more of his personal life.
There is no release date yet for the eight-episode series from Fremantle and A Wayne & Mandie Creative.
Brady is well-known for being a multifaceted talent, but there is more to the person who is frequently on stage.
The performer will peel back the layers of his unexpected existence in this new series, which will highlight what occurs when the term “modern family” is turned on its head.
Brady co-parents his 20-year-old daughter Maile, who is an aspiring artist and student, with Mandie Taketa, his ex-spouse, soulmate, and business partner. The pair remain the best of friends to this day.
New Hulu Series To Star Wayne Brady
Brady and Taketa also run Wayne Brady’s Comedy IQ through their production firm, A Wayne & Mandie Creative.
Taketa’s 12-year life companion, Jason Fordham, is in charge of the family’s post-production and cinematography.
This forthcoming series, which centers on Brady, who is at a crossroads in his life, provides an intimate glimpse into his blended family’s private lives, presenting unanticipated values and perspectives that folks would typically find difficult to grasp.
Viewers have seen their social media posts, but in reality, things are not always as straightforward or easy as they seem on the internet.
The program will be added to Hulu’s growing unscripted lineup, which currently includes the just-announced Vanderpump Villa, The D’Amelio Show, and The Kardashians.
Executive produced by Wayne Brady, Rachel Tung, Shahram Qureshi, and Mandie Taketa, the new untitled series is made by Fremantle, A Wayne & Mandie Creative.
