Young Thug Slapped With New Gang, Drug, & Gun Charges

According to the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ Office, a new indictment has brought fresh charges against the American rapper Jeffery Williams who is popularly known as Young Thug. It is believed by the district attorney’s office that these charges further support the prosecution’s claim that Williams performed as the head of the YSL gang that reigned terror on Fulton county from 2012 to 2022.

WSBTV reported that the rapper “now faces a new gang charge, new drug charges, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a machine gun.” Two other defendants aside Young Thug would be faced with the machine gun charge. One of them, Yak Gotti’s attorney has reportedly stated that the rapper is a performer, “not a criminal.”

According to the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office, the indictment “includes all 28 defendants from the May indictment and still focuses on YSL, an organization allegedly founded by Williams and two others.” Willis clarified that “YSL is an acronym for ‘Young Slime Life.” “It is a hybrid gang that operates here in Atlanta and it’s an affiliate of the Bloods gang,” he went further.

Here are a few comments from different people closely following the process on social media.
