50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, has acquired some success-related knowledge throughout the duration of his longstanding career — such as laws of power.

He is an accomplished businessman, a Grammy-winning hip hop star, and a prolific actor who both stars in and produces motion pictures and television. Jackson, though, didn’t enter the entertainment industry suddenly. He highlighted to Vulture in an interview how his prior success gave him an edge when trying to get a job in Hollywood.

“One of the unwritten laws of power is to appear not to need anything,” said the G-Unit boss. “Because everybody will do you a favor when you don’t need it.”

After accumulating millions of dollars from his rap career, Jackson ultimately bumped into film producer Avi Lerner.

50 claimed that he was “in a financial place that I didn’t need one thing from him,” thereby, Lerner was willing to sit down with him and discuss show business.

50 Cent Is The Embodiment Of Power

“Because I was interested in what he had developed as a business, he was excited by my interest,” expressed the “In Da Club” hitmaker.

“He offered probably more than the average person.”

Jackson claimed that his meetings with the Millennium Film CEO “helped me understand Hollywood,” and he soon began producing movies through his handle Cheetah Vision, which had gathered $200 million in funding from people he “met while traveling who desired to invest in film production.”

The movies had modest budgets, which gave the Queens, NY native the opportunity to develop as a producer while simultaneously earning money.

50 furthered, “I got paid almost $10 million on each one of those films. So I paid myself to learn how to participate on those projects.”

Since then, Jackson has created scores of TV episodes and movies, including “Power” and “BMF,” and there are yet many more to come. He will star in the forthcoming “Expend4bles” movie alongside Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone.
