Angel Reese recently made a significant contribution to her old high school basketball team over the weekend. This was out a show of gratitude for her four years at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. LSU Basketball Star Angel Reese Donated 12,000 total.

The reason behind the 21-year-old star donating $12,000 was to support the tuition and fees for a player on the school’s girls’ basketball team.

This amazing news was presented during a “Back-to-School Giveback Block Party” hosted by The Angel C. Reese Foundation. Students of all ages were in attendance and received backpacks stocked with school supplies and donated items from sponsors

She described the experience as nothing short of amazing, recounting how she was able to make people smile, laugh, and even shed tears of joy. Reese also stated that this event is just the beginning of many more to come.

In response, Reese’s mother acknowledged the tremendous effort their “team” had invested over the past few months to make the event a reality. She showed her love for everyone supporting and helping with the mission.

According to a post from Angel Reese’s mother on social media, the fund that the Tigers Forward donated matched what she was given when she was a student at St. Frances. This further pushed the reason the LSU Basketball Star Angel Reese Donated that amount.

Reese continues to uphold her high standards, both on and off the court, and her actions seem to be aligning perfectly with those standards.

Reese has been in the spotlight for several months following a standout junior season at LSU, her first with the team. The basketball star helped lead the LSU team to their first national championship in women’s basketball, also while earning the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award and first-team All-America honors in the process.

Reese will of course return to LSU this coming academic year for her senior season and a chance to follow up the 2023 championship with another.

As of June 2023, her name, image, and likeness (NIL) valuation rose to $1.6 million. Plus, Reese has more than 17 NIL deals including Amazon, Coach, and Raising Canes along with many others.

Despite all her achievements, she proves that watering the roots of her community is one of the most important priorities.
