Logic the rapper is back again. He dropped a song last week that was a play off of Jay-Z’s “4:44” album titled, “44 More”. This week Logic quickly followed it up with a whole visual, called “Overnight.” The video shows the rapper touring Tokyo and the tropical island of Maui with a few friends.
I tired listening to the song then I heard the line about marriage. So I watched the entire video with the sound off. I really did not want to watch the three minutes and 47 second video but a few seconds in I saw an all lives matter shaven head. That let me know Logic was different.
The only thing the rapper is doing is jumping up and down while he moves his arms throughout the visual. Logic may claim that he is half-black, but those so called dance moves were definitely traits from his Caucasian side. The whole video seems as it was done overnight.
Logic states on the track, “All these bad bitches say they love me, I already know / Check the, check the ring that’s on my finger ’cause I’m married, hoe.” You cannot be out here helping suicide prevention then flip on the crowd calling ladies bitches and hoes because you a married man. I seen a carefree spirit in the video but it was too carefree. There’s more to the song but the words were a bore.
We know that logic has a new project on the way. He dropped an album in 2017 titled Everybody, which features his Grammy-nominated hit song “1-800-273-8255.” No word yet on the album specifics, but his last project was a number one debut. Logic is looking to follow-up on that success.
