Maxwell Reveals Single From ‘blacksummers’NIGHT’, Announces Tour with Joe & Anthony Hamilton

Maxwell has been promising this album, since he started the the blacksummersnight trilogy back in 2009!  In 2022, fans will finally get the final chapter of music, in the form of the the long awaited, Maxell blacksummers’NIGHT album.  After the long wait, Maxwell is giving us the lead single now, before the full album drops in the Spring.  And to show us just how serious he is about dropping the project, he has also announced the Maxwell Night Tour with Joe and Anthony Hamilton.

The lead single from the Maxell blacksummers’NIGHT album is titled, “Off”.  It’s classic Maxwell and in the same family of previous trilogy singles, “Pretty Wings”, “Bad Habits” and “Lake By The Ocean”.  Maxwell released the BLACKsummers’night album in 2009 and the follow-up blackSUMMERS’night came 7 years later in 2016.

On November 30th Maxwell unveiled a visual for “OFF”.  Watch it below:

Maxwell opened up about the single and the upcoming album in a recent interview with RollingStone.

No exact release date has been announced for the album, but Maxwell has revealed dates for the Maxwell Night Tour with Joe and Anthony Hamilton.  The tour will kick off in early March and stretch until early May.
