Kendrick Lamar’s new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is his very first in the last five years. The double album is anticipated to be hugely successful. As the public has yet to hear any music from the Kendrick project, even the tiniest hints are enough to pique interest. With his less-is-more marketing approach, Lamar kindled a fire among admirers.

Since August of last year, when he opened his mysterious Oklama website and made an allusive statement about his next body of work, Lamar has been hyping his “last TDE album.” “I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” he wrote of Top Dawg Entertainment.

The eagerly awaited project features contributions from a diverse group of guests, including Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan, Kodak Black, Sampha, Summer Walker, Baby Keem, Blxst, and Beth Gibbons of Portishead, among others.

Furthermore, spiritual teacher and author Eckhart Tolle plays the narrator in several songs in Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album. In “We Cry Together”, Whitney Alford is acknowledged as a narrator. Pharrell, Duval Timothy, the Alchemist, Beach Noise, A Florence and the Machine sample, Boi-1da, Sounwave, Dahi, FNZ, J.LBS, Bekon, and others are part of the production.
