10 Women in Hip-Hop You Should Give A Listen To In 2019

4. Kamaiyah
Kamaiyah was born in Oakland, but raised in Sacramento, and she has been catching people’s attention over the last few years ever since she came out with “How Does It Feel” in late 2015, which received a high rating by outlets like NPR and Pitchfork.

Kamaiyah grew up influenced by the likes of Missy Elliott, TLC, and also the late great Aaliyah and her career is off to an amazing start with potential to span out like those artists did.

Kamaiyah has been getting her shine by also being at South by Southwest and she had a opportunity to go on the Fuck Donald Trump tour with fellow West Coast rapper YG. As Kamaiyah continues to show her talent and come with hard projects like her mixtapes Good Night in the Ghetto, and Before I Wake in late 2017, we may not be that far away from another project.

Kamaiyah has other songs you may like including “Fuck It Up,” “Addicted To Ballin,” and “Me Against Myself”.
