Jennifer Williams Has Come A Long Way Since Basketball Wives, Finds Success with Flirty Girl Fitness & Lucid Cosmetics Line

Entrepreneur, Jennifer Williams is no stranger to the drama of reality television and the ups and downs that come with it.  The reality television veteran made her debut on the hit show Basketball Wives as one of the original cast members.  The ex-wife of NBA player, Eric Williams, Jennifer came off as a quiet, timid woman.  At one point her ex, Eric even threw a drink in her face in an effort to “cast a demon out of her.”  Williams also found herself at odds with fellow cast member Evelyn Lozado.  But all that is in the past now and with a new reality show and several new business endeavors, Jennifer Williams is continuing to spread her wings.  With TV One’s The Next 15, Williams is again in the limelight, but this time she promises things will be a little different.

Long before Basketball Wives, Jennifer Williams, a South Orange, New Jersey native had aspirations for a totally different career path.  In fact, she attended the University of Maryland and got a degree in political science.  She even graduated cum laude.  She would meet Eric Williams in 2000 and after dating him for a few years, they got married in 2007.  By the time Basketball Wives premiered in 2010, the couple was beginning divorce proceedings.

Jennifer left Basketball Wives at the end of season four, so fans haven’t seen her in this capacity since 2012.  Her social media game is amazing though so those who have followed her have been able to keep up to date.  Williams dated Love and Hip-Hop cast member Cisco Rosado for a while, but that didn’t last long.  Williams seemingly has put all the reality love  behind her, spending the last few years to focus on her businesses.

On her newest show The Next 15, Jennifer has come out of her shell and is showing viewers that she has what it takes to stand her ground and be a Boss.  Jennifer Williams currently has two successful businesses, Flirty Girl Fitness and Lucid Cosmetics, both of which, she is very proud of.

Flirty Girl Fitness is a fitness boutique with two locations, one in Toronto and the other in Chicago.  Williams is in the process of adding some new products and doing a complete rebranding of her Lucid Cosmetics line. She is also in the process of creating an online boutique called Preppy Girl Wardrobe.

On The Next 15, Williams receives the opportunity of a lifetime when she gets the opportunity to work with vocal coach, Willie Norwood (Brandy’s father). The sound advice she received is pushing her into pursuing the vocal career she has always dreamed about.

Jennifer Williams recently moved to Los Angeles and in addition to The Next 15, she is also the co-host of the talk show on Black Hollywood Live called Just Saying where she tackles entertainment and pop culture within the African-American community.. It’ all about moving forward and continuing to pursue these types of endeavors for Williams at this point.  “I ‘m not a basketball wife anymore,” she says, bluntly.  “Now people get to see my real life and what I’m doing now. I’m excited about that.”

With The Next 15, viewers get to see just that.  “I feel like on Basketball Wives, people didn’t get a chance to know the real Jennifer,” Williams admits.  “They were focused so much on the drama with Eric and I or Evelyn and I. Now, with Next 15, you are going to really get to know who Jennifer Williams is as a person.”

Despite all of her business ventures and somehow maintaining her cool around Claudia Jordan on the show, Jennifer is managing to keep a smile on her face after suffering a major loss. Her mother succumbed to her battle with cancer this past December. The loss hit Jennifer hard and she took to social media to express her sadness and shock. Many of her old and new cast mates have reached out to show their support.  As she continues to mourn and process the reality of the situation, Williams hopes to one day become a part of a cancer awareness initiative in honor of her mother.

Between the shock, Next 15, and her businesses, Jennifer definitely has her hands full.
