Miami Police have released a now-viral body cam footage of Polo G’s 2021 arrest.
The American rapper, Polo G was handcuffed in what was meant to be a celebratory evening for him back in 2021 following the release party of his “Hall of Fame” album. The Chicago rapper was arrested by Miami Police and charged with criminal mischief, battery on a police officer, threatening a public servant, and resisting arrest. Both parties (police and the rapper) in 2021 had claimed mishandling by the other during the process of arrest.
The released body cam footage of Polo G’s arrest by Miami Police seems like one to give additional information on what went down.
In the footage, Polo G can be heard yelling.
“Yoo… you broke as hell,” Polo G goes, triggering an uninterested tone of response from the cop who replied saying, “Here we go about the broke and the money. Oh my god.”
“I’m just sayin’, do you got $10,000 in your bank account right now?” the rapper questioned, then repeated himself. “I’m just sayin’, bro. If you die right now, what can you give your kids? If you die right now, what could you give the lady that you in bed with? What could you give to your mama? Have you ever bought yo’ mama anything? Did you buy yo’ mama a car? Did you buy yo’ mama a house? I did that.”
The officer answered, “Good for you, bro. I’m glad you did that… I would love to do that one day.”
The intense but interesting back and forth goes on in the video attached below as Polo G seemed to have much to say to the police officer.
