Rapper Famous Dex Was Arrested in Manhattan This Week
It seems like Famous Dex was at the wrong place at the wrong time… around the wrong people.
According to TMZ, on Thursday, the “Pick It Up” rapper was arrested in Manhattan on an outstanding warrant linked to a previous missed court date for a public drinking violation.
Reportedly, Dex was initially busted at the Royalton Park Avenue hotel with a group of people who were under investigation for credit card fraud. When the cops ran Dex’s name, his warrant popped up, and they wasted no time cuffing him up.
Sources told the site that the 24-year-old was also cited for marijuana possession. However, he was not charged for anything related to the credit card fraud committed by the other hotel visitors. His team confirmed that he actually had nothing to do with it.
Currently, Dex is being transported to the Bronx to see a judge about the warrant.
As for the real credit card fraudsters, let’s just hope they got bail money and a good lawyer.
