A new comedy titled, Vacation Friends will be airing on Hulu streaming platform beginning on August 27th. The Vacation Friends movie features a cast that includes Lil Rel Howery, Lynn Whitfield, Yvonne Orji, John Cena, Meredith Hagner, Andrew Bachelor, and Robert Wisdom.
Vacation Friends is about a Black couple who meet a white couple, who are totally nuts, while vacationing out in Mexico. The 2 couples get into some crazy action down at the resort before heading back home in the United States. Later on in the film, when the Black couple gets married, the wild couple unexpectedly comes to a wedding, even though they aren’t invited, and it turns into a whole circus as the trailer shows below.

Lil Rel Howery spoke to Entertainment Weekly on getting a chance to work with John Cena, given how much he loves wrestling and he even talked about the Wrestler’s sense of humor. “Wrestling is hilarious so I wasn’t surprised how funny he was, but I was surprised how he was open to whatever. He also knows how to do a lot of random stuff. I’d be sitting in the lobby like, ‘who’s playing the piano’ and I walkover it’s John Cena just playing away.”
The Vacation Friends movie has actually been in the works since 2014, with the original cast starring Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. Then there was talk about Ice Cube taking Pratt’s spot before the producers started the whole cast over, bringing in the current cast of Cena, Hagner, and Howery and Orji in late 2019.
