KeKe Palmer and Darius Jackson breakup – and it was NOT on good terms
KeKe Palmer, 30, filed a restraining order against Darius Jackson, 29, stating that he was abusive for the two years they were in a relationship. Jackson allegedly physically and emotionally abused Palmer and threatened to kill himself if she left him. He also went inside her home when she wasn’t there and without her knowledge or consent. The abuse was captured on camera.
According to US Weekly, “Palmer claimed that she has security footage from a November 5 incident in which Jackson ‘trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent’ and ‘threatened’ her before ‘lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch and stealing my phone.’ She went on to allege that there have been ‘many instances of physical violence’ with Jackson that include ‘destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting [me] in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.’
Palmer is also requesting full custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis aka Leo. She stated in the restraining order that Jackson posed a danger to Leo. There was an incident where Darius almost physically harmed Leo when he wouldn’t stop crying as Darius changed his diaper. KeKe had to step in to protect Leo but ended up getting hit in the head.

Life and Style via Yahoo Entertainment reported that Keke and Darius tried to attend couples therapy [but] his alleged behavior ‘would get bad again. Given Darius’ uncontrolled, violent outbursts in the past whenever he became jealous, [she] became seriously concerned he would hurt [their] son, even if it was just to hurt [her]… On September 26, 2023, [she] was concerned for Leo’s safety after Darius became very frustrated with him… crying while Darius changed his diaper. Darius started getting rough with Leo physically, and [she] stepped in to make sure Darius would not hurt him. Darius was angry, and it almost became a tug-of-war with Leo. Darius finally let go, and Leo was not harmed, but as [she] was holding Leo, trying to comfort him and finish changing his diaper, Darius hit [her] in the head before storming out of the room.”
Thankfully, Leo was unharmed and KeKe was able to leave an unhealthy relationship. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time their relationship drama went public. Earlier this year, Darius went on X, formerly known as Twitter, to publicly shame her for the outfit she wore at Usher’s Vegas Residency by saying, “It’s the outfit tho, you a mom” among other sentiments.
However, in true KeKe Palmer fashion, she not only made a coin off the situation by selling merch but she also appeared in Usher’s music video “Boyfriend” making light of the situation. As entertaining as her comebacks were, this latest development highlights a more deeper and darker side to their relationship than many fans anticipated. Just a week ago Darius shared some posts on social media which fans guessed were veiled shots at Keke Palmer. It was nothing but speculation, but now it looks like it was all too real.
