Tasha K is in yet another lawsuit with another celebrity over broadcasting questionable “facts” about celebrities’ personal life – this time, it’s Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart sues Tasha K, and his former assistant, Miesha Shakes, for extortion and invasion of privacy over controversial interview. The interview involves Shakes sharing stories about Hart’s martial and business affairs. Tasha K, whose legal name is LaTasha Kebe, posted a snippet of the interview and allegedly threatened to release the full interview unless Hart paid her six-figures.
According to Page Six, the lawsuit states that Kebe sat down with the actor’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, in November 2023 to record an interview in which the latter made ‘false and defamatory statements regarding Hart.’ [Hart] claims that after the interview an alleged affiliate of Kebe called his team and threatened to ‘publish the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000’… At the time, they allegedly warned Hart that the stories told — which had to do with his marriage and business dealings — would be ‘damaging to [his] reputation.’ “Kebe then posted a ‘teaser’ for the interview in which she and Shakes allegedly “touted the supposedly salacious and damaging nature” of the interview as a ‘threat to Hart’ for not paying the ‘ransom’…
“[Consequently, Hart] is now suing both women for extortion and invasion of privacy. He is also suing Shakes for breach of contract and defamation. Meanwhile, he is also trying to get Kebe for intentional interference with contractual relations.” The first celebrity to sue Tasha K was Cardi B for defamation and emotional distress. Cardi B won the case but has recently hinted as possibly dropping the lawsuit and forgiving Tasha K after Tasha K went on Instagram live in October to talk candidly to her fans about the situation. During the live, Tasha K provided some background on her family’s past and why she targeted Cardi B.
