The Jhené Aiko New Video To Her Latest Single, “While We’re Young”, Is Here
Jhené Aiko is back at it again with another beautiful love song and a heartwarming visual to match. Just hours after releasing her latest single, “While We’re Young’, the “Maniac” singer has unveiled the official video for the romantic tune. However, this time, Aiko is taking the concept up a couple of notches, putting her acting skills to use with a reenactment of the 2004 romance comedy, 50 First Dates, starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The Jhené Aiko new video is definitely one to watch.
Chronicling Drew Barrymore’s character, Lucy Whitmore, Aiko portrays a woman who is enduring short-term memory loss. After meeting a man who goes by the name of ‘Micah’, at a diner, Aiko unknowingly becomes the apple of Micah’s eye. Though warned prior about her memory condition, Micah willingly proceeds to pursue and date Aiko and won’t leave her alone until he officially woos her over for good. Magical moments are left as distant memories to Aiko, but Micah still remains in love. The only catch is, he has to make her remember and fall in love with him, each and every day, all over again.
From the sounds of it, he is doing just that and more.
“I cannot hide it; I am so excited. I finally decided on you. It’s been another perfect day witcha. Wanna lay witcha, spend the night witcha, then spend my life witcha. Alright? You heard me right.” Aiko sings over the soothing beat.
Directed by Jay Ahn, “While We’re Young” is Aiko’s first solo single since 2016’s “Maniac”.
This past February, Aiko described her awaited LP as an ‘art project’ that she ‘can’t wait to share.’
In other news, she is currently working on a second TWENTY88 joint project with Big Sean and is scheduled to perform at this year’s BET Experience (June 22nd-25th), where she will be joined by Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Bryson Tiller, and many others.
