Nipsey Hussle will live forever. Not just because of his music, which is climbing all over the Billboard charts, but because the rapper is set to have an intersection named in his honor in his Los Angeles hometown. The Nipsey Hussle intersection announcement comes a little over a week since the rapper was gunned down not far from the intersection near his Marathon clothing store.
A petition for the Nipsey Hussle intersection had reached over 500,000 signatures since it launched last week.
Los Angeles City Council member Marqueece Harris-Dawson announced that the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue will become Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom Square.

The news of the Nipsey Hussle intersection came on the same day that the rapper’s family announced the official details for a massive memorial service for Hussle, which will be held at Staples Center. Tickets for the event sold out in just 20 minutes. The memorial is free to those who got tickets. The memorial will end in a celebratory procession around the 25 mile stretch of Los Angeles before Hussle is laid to rest. The Nipsey Hussle memorial takes place on Thursday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m.
