The rapper, In a preview of the interview which dropped on Sunday, sat down with Gayle King on CBS This morning as she recounts the experience and what it felt like.
In August of 2020, Megan Thee Stallion claimed that Tory Lanez shot at her while trying to leave the Hollywood Hills party. The rapper sat down with Gayle King on CBS News This Morning to recount specific details.

“There was an argument in the car?” King asks in the video.
“It was an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn’t ready to go. But that’s like normal friend stuff like, we fuss about silly– silly stuff all the time,” the 27-year-old rapper started, with her voice breaking. “But…I never put my hands on anybody, I never raised my voice too loud,” she recounts.
The Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion also recounts while tearing up that he was ‘standing up over the window shooting’ at her telling her to ‘Dance b**tch’.
“I didn’t even wanna move, I didn’t wanna move too quick like ‘cause I’m like Oh my God if I take the wrong step, I don’t know if he can shoot something that’s like super important, I don’t know if he could shoot me and kill me.”
Megan also revealed that Tory offered her money for her silence.
“He was like I’m so sorry please don’t tell nobody I’ll give y’all a million dollars if y’all don’t say anything and I’m like, ‘Why are you offering money right now? Help me.”
Other evidence revealed during the interview:
- “I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory,” Megan.
- Text messages obtained by CBS reveal that Kelsey, the other woman in the car, sent 2 text messages to Megan Thee Stallion’s security guard saying, “Help. Tory Shot Meg”
- A medical report says that she had bullet fragments in both feet. And those fragments are still in her feet.
The interview with King about the alleged shooting by Tory Lanez has fans sharing some of their thoughts;
“This really breaks my heart because Megan thee Stallion has dealt with losing her mother, father, and grandmother so I can only imagine her mind and emotions thinking her life was about to be lost as well.” a tweet said.

In July of 2020, Lanez was arrested and charged with carrying a conceived firearm in the vehicle and even though Megan Thee Stallion didn’t name him as her shooter till August of 2020. He got released on bail of $35,000 that same day.
