While fans were excited that the superstar performed at the Superbowl, others were taken aback by her outfit. In addition to the jumpsuit, Rihanna is seen sporting a leather bustier that is molded to her body. What makes this outfit special is that it was “designed to build volume in step with the dynamic scenography of the show,” the brand states. The look screamed red with a 19-karat ruby and diamond ring and diamond earrings.

Covered completely in more than 216,000 Swarovski crystals, the naked dress cemented the singer’s place in fashion forever. Rihanna opted to wear a matched headwrap with the dress as well as a bedazzled thong. This was the outfit the star wore as she got her Fashion Icon award and said the now iconic line, “She can beat me, but she cannot beat my outfit.”

The rhinestone-encrusted minidress paired with a matching coat and hat perfectly encapsulated the theme of the 2018 Met Gala (Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination). Made by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, the hat is supposed to represent a papal mitre, which is a head-dress for bishops for ceremonies.

For the 2015 Met Gala, Rihanna made history with a gold couture gown with a fur trim that she found online. The outfit took Gui Pei, a Chinese designer two years to create as the dress was sewn by hand. The gown went hand in hand with that year’s theme of “China: Through the Looking Glass” as there were 50 pounds of embroidery and a 16-foot-long train. This dress changed the Gala’s reputation forever.

The outfit was complemented by 267 carats of Bvlgari jewelry. This gala was when the superstar marked her red carpet debut with A$AP Rocky.

The Mint green tube dress was from the star’s Fenty collection, paired with a matching shawl and sheer gloves. It was at the 2019 Fashion Awards Ceremony where Rihanna was presented with the Urban Luxe Fashion Award.
