Nicki Minaj has been going strong for over a decade and shows no signs of stopping. The queen of rap has not only contributed to music, but she’s also dabbled in fashion and beauty. From her amazing collaboration with legendary fashion house, Fendi, to releasing top-selling perfumes, she has her finger on the pulse of everything stylish. Her latest venture is a sneaker collection with Black-owned shoe brand, Løci, which dropped on April 12.

Nicki first announced her first-ever sneaker collection back in March with an Instagram post.

“4/12= 11 new pairs of my OWN sneaker. 11 completely different designs for you to choose from. An absolute dream come true. I can’t WAIT for you guys to see my first collection!!!” she said in the post.

The “FTCU” rapper continued, urging her followers to sign up and went further into detail about the collab with Løci.

“Thank you to my team for helping me make this dream come to fruition,” Nicki Minaj wrote. “This isn’t a sponsorship. I’m an owner & partner & we will be showing you the first complete collection on 4/12. Love you, BARBZ. THANK YOU.”

Following her announcement, Forbes magazine shared that Løci’s official website crashed after a 3,500% surge in traffic. The vegan luxury sneaker brand was founded in London, England by Emmanuel Eribo, Frank Eribo, Philippe Homsy, and Mark Quaradeghini. On April 12, the brand’s social media team took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce the arrival of their Nicki Minaj collection.

“Calling all Barbz, finally, Nicki Minaj x Løci is available now at lociwear.com/Nicki,” they said.

Nicki also confirmed the release of her new sneakers via Instagram with a post that simply said, “Løci sneaker collection available now.” She’s been wearing a few pairs while traveling around for her Pink Friday 2 tour.

Colorways from the collection include pink and white, pink and black, red and white, white and blue, and cream and purple. There are also several high-top and low-top selections of sneakers available.

“Partnering with Nicki is a humbling moment for us all,” Eribo, Løci’s Co-founder and CEO, told Forbes. “Having Nicki Minaj place her faith in us as an owner, and her determination to elevate our brand on a global scale is a testament to our shared vision of challenging conventions and making a meaningful impact.”
