Quavo & Takeoff address the reason behind Migos split and their future as a group in recent interview.

Atlanta rappers Quavo Huncho and Takeoff YRN of the hip-hop trio Migos sat down with hosts Big Bank and DJ Scream’s of the podcast Big Facts for a candid interview. Within the clip circulating around the internet, the uncle and nephew are asked the question: “…speaking of just family, will there be more Migos, will there be a Culture 4, where is that space? Do yall think there will be a Culture 4 or more music with Set [Offset], where, where yall at?”

To which Quavo responds, “I just feel like…we want to see our career as a duo, ya know what Im saying? Because, you we just came from a loyal family, you know what I’m saying, and shit thats supposed to stick together. And you know, sometimes when shit don’t work out, it aint meant to be you know, so.”

Takeoff also adds a response in which he says, “you know we don’t know all answers, ya feel me, so you know what I’m saying, so God know, ya feel me so and we pray a lot ya know. And we asking Him, ya know, however You see it fit, you know, if You put it back together, or however You wanna do it. So we pray and only time will tell.”

Rumors began to circulate that the Migos were breaking up back in May of this year after Offset unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. The next day, Quavo and Takeoff released their single “Hotel Lobby” from their album as a duo Unc & Phew.

A few days after that, Quavo refused to answer any questions about the rumors of the group splitting by paparazzi. A month later, the group pulled out of a scheduled performance at the 2022 Governers Ball in New York.

In July, Quavo and Takeoff announced a headlining show as the Migos without Offset. And in August, there were reports that Offset was suing their record label Quality Control for attempting to claim rights to his solo projects.

There has been no response on the matter from Offset at this time.
