Ricky Hampton, popularly known as Finesse2Tymes, first made waves when he released his mixtape – Goin Straight In in 2017. The sensational title song, which ramped up views of about 22 million, went hard and is still attributed as one of Finesse2tyme’s most notable pieces of work.  “Goin Straight In” and hits like “Ricky,” and “G Train,” were supposed to be the sounds that would have introduced the rapper to stardom.

Nevertheless, the euphoria paused abruptly after the rapper’s arrest in a club shootout at the Power Ultra Lounge. Reports also stated that the 29 years old Memphis-born rapper was with firearms at the time of the attack, which resulted in his five-year sentence to prison in 2018.

While in prison, Finesse2Tymes never had any reason to give up on his art as he continued to release freestyles as he prepared for his return. Moreso, in 2018, one of his best mixtapes, Hustle And Flow, was already generally accepted by fans and music lovers, with over 250,000 copies sold.

After completing his jail term, the return of Finesse2Tymes was triumphant, with J. Prince, his buddy picking him up on a private jet, a five-star treatment. With this Artiste, some things never change. How he managed to keep his relevance and consistency in the game is something to be emulated by upcoming stars. Despite Finese2tymes shortcomings and years in prison, the self-acclaimed best rapper from Memphis is making big news once again. This time, it is for a positive vibe as he just dropped another hit song.  The rapper recent linked up with DaBaby for a new single titled, “Luv N Hip Hop.”

Prior to that Finesse2Tymes released “Get Even,” which saw him narrate how he got out of prison with nothing but is standing right back at his feet to get his bag. “Get Even” has racked up 22 million views on Youtube and is still getting to more ears.

He also linked up with fellow Memphis native Moneybagg Yo, reuniting after 6 years for the track, “Black Visa.”  Their feud is clearly now over.

Finesse2Tymes undeniably is getting so much love from people now that he is back and coming with new music consistently.  His Youtube channel and Instagram are always buzzing with lots of encouraging comments from fans and music icons.

Time will tell what’s to come from the rapper, but with the way he’s been coming, he may be the biggest name in Hip-Hop in a short while.  If you aren’t already on it, get on it!
