Kanye West has been let back on X, known formerly as Twitter, after being suspended in December for posting a picture of a swastika.

Elon Musk’s social platform only approved the change after receiving assurances from West that no damaging content or anti-semitic remarks will be published. Additionally, he won’t have the option of monetizing the account or have ads show up next to his posts.

Ye has run into Twitter/X on numerous occasions. After he went two years without tweeting, Elon Musk welcomed the rapper back in October. However, he only stayed for a brief time before he was once again banned for claiming he would “go def con 3 on Jewish people.”

Kanye engaged into a contract to procure the “free speech” social media platform Parler shortly after that, but it quickly fell through.

Due of the Chicago native’s previous remarks, firms including Gap and Adidas severed connections with him.

Musk, who describes himself as a “free-speech absolutist,” promised to review permanent bans premised on the app’s regulations, unless rules were breached, shortly after purchasing Twitter last autumn.

Since then, he has reinstated the accounts of problematic figures like avowed neo-Nazis and Donald Trump (who hasn’t tweeted since).

Israel’s Foreign Ministry said earlier this year that Musk was to blame for a spike in antisemitism on the platform, noting that X is now “filled with anti-semitic conspiracies and hate speech targeting Jewish people all over the world.”

The information was released following Musk’s decision to rebrand Twitter as X.

On the roof of the business’s San Francisco headquarters, he most recently erected a flashing X sign. The sign was utilized for an event, according to information provided by X to the city’s construction inspectors.

Musk stated in a tweet from yesterday that X’s headquarters would stay in “beautiful San Francisco” regardless of the fact that the metropolis is in a “death spiral.”
