Over 35 million albums sold and several GRAMMY nominations, O.G. rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, actor and legend, Snoop Dogg has decided to make an intriguing conversion to release a gospel album in 2018. The Snoop Dogg gospel album is titled, Bible of Love.

As we await an official release date of the album, Snoop Dogg draws us in with song previews, and interviews. He recently shared some personal revelations about the album. The intriguing album will feature collabs with gospel recording artist, Fred Hammond and soul legend Patty LaBelle. Also mentioned are, Jeffrey Osborne, Faith Evans and Charlie Wilson.

Snoop explained on Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 radio show that the inspiration which fueled the album came from the hate and negative energy he saw in this world. He wanted to, “put together something that could represent peace, love and harmony for everybody and anybody.” Snoop openly admitted to previously putting out albums which promoted hate, himself. Since then, the negative energy placed a sense of urgency in his heart to promote love and unity moving forward.

However, it appears his inspiration started way before then. Snoop makes it a point to honor and thank his mother for imparting biblical knowledge and teaching him to, “spread the Word.” The upcoming album seems to be an answer to his mother’s prayers. According to her Twitter response to Snoops post, she encourages him and speaks biblical promises over his life and career. She responds, “Praise the Lord, the more you share, the more you will reap more benefits, the Lord will enlarge your territory and will bless you indeed.”

Late last year Snoop revealed the single, “Words Are Few” believed the be the first single from the project.  Listen to it below:

Snoop Dogg will make his first live performance off his forthcoming Gospel album release at the at 19th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration for Super Bowl 52. As part of his exclusive performance, he has assembled an all-star ensemble of artists that will join him on stage in this electric live introduction to the Bible Of Love featuring GRAMMY® Award-winning Hip-Hop and R&B singer Faith Evans, GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel singer Tye Tribbett, GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel vocal group The Clark Sisters and GRAMMY® Award-nominated gospel musician Rance Allen.
