Singer, Songwriter RL Huggar, Minneapolis, Minnesota native and former lead of the group Next has returned with a new single, “Me & My Girlfriend,” featuring G Unit’s Young Buck. RL manages to reinvent his sound for a smooth and crisp R&B record with a Hip-Hop edge. The song is produced by SoFoReal.
As part of the group Next, RL released hits “Butta Love,” “Wifey”and “Too Close.” He would branch off and collaborate with Deborah Cox on her single “We Can’t Be Friends” and later teamed up with Ginuwine, Tyrese and Case on the Best Man Soundtrack lead single, “Best Man.” His debut solo album, RL: Ements was released in 2002.
