Say what you will about rapper Cam’ron, the Dipset leader has always been a great business man. While the Diplomats as a crew have been pretty silent so far this year since their reunion last year, Cam’ron has been quite busy, first releasing a track, “U Wasn’t There” in January, then confirming that his new album, Purple Haze 2 will be released in April, and now the rapper has revealed that he has a deal with Reebok to release a Purple Haze sneaker.
I got a deal with Reebok,” Cam’ron says during an interview with The FADER. “We’re doing all the finishing touches on it right now.”
The title for the Reebok sneaker, Purple Haze comes from Cam’ron’s critically acclaimed 2004 album. The project was his second and final album with Roc-a-fella Records, and featured collaborations with Kanye West and the rest of the Diplomats. It was delayed several times and helped sour the Cam’ron and Jay-z relationship.
Cam has said that his upcoming album, Purple Haze 2 will be his final album. The album is expected in April and the Purple Haze sneaker is scheduled to be released on April 20th.
