After premiering on it’s BET+ streaming service, BET is set to have the primetime premiere of the original holiday movie, A Rich Christmas. Bill Bellamy leads a talented cast in the film produced by Tressa Azarel Smallwood and Donte Lee for Megamind Media. A Rich Christmas will premiere on BET on Saturday November 20th at 8:00 pm ET/PT.
A Rich Christmas was shot last December in Washington, DC. The movie is directed by Victoria Rowell and also stars Vanessa Williams, Denise Boutte, Tyler Abron and Brandee Evans, among others.
A Rich Christmas movie synopsis
Valerie Rich (played by Tyler Abron) is a spoiled and ungrateful wealthy socialite. She learns a valuable lesson one Christmas after her mega real estate businessman father, Marshall Rich (Bill Bellamy) decides to close the first property that started his business— a homeless family shelter. Valerie, upset that her father wishes to replace their daddy/daughter trip to Aspen for Christmas by spending time volunteering at the homeless shelter, allows her boyfriend Tyson (Faith Malonte) to convince her that stealing money from her father’s office would be the way for the couple to still make the trip to Aspen. Brandee Evans plays Carolyn, the indisputable presence who makes everyone understand what Christmas is truly about.
