Back on October 28th, before he was set to perform at the Rolling Loud festival in New York City, Fetty Wap was arrested by federal authorities for his alleged role in conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances.  The charges against him can potentially lead to a life sentence if he is convicted.  This week for the first time since he was released, Fetty Wap speaks on arrest, sharing his thoughts on social media.

Fetty Wap, a.k.a. William Junior Maxwell II is being referred to by the U.S. District Attorney’s office as a was a kilogram-level redistributor for the trafficking organization. He was arrested along with 5 other men, all residing between New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Fetty Wap is from New Jersey. His alleged co-conspirator is a New Jersey corrections officer named, Anthony Cyntje. The other four defendants are Anthony Leonardi, his brother Robert Leonardi, Brian Sullivan and Kavaughn Wiggins. The six defendants are accused of obtaining cocaine, heroin and fentanyl from the West Coast and distributing over 100 kilos of the drugs in Long Island, N.Y. and New Jersey from June of 2019 to June of 2020.

Fetty Wap was released on November 5th after he secured a $500,000 bond. While out on bond, he will be under GPS monitoring and subject to random drug testing. He must also surrender his passport, though he will be able to travel if he gets permission from pretrial services and federal prosecutors.

Fetty Wap turned 30 years-old this past Summer.

The Suffolk County Attorney’s Office unveiled images of some of the evidence they confiscated related to the case. The FBI photos show $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, two kilograms of heroin and fentanyl pills, and various drug paraphernalia. Here’s just a couple of the images:
